The successful candidate must be trained and proficient in AutoCAD and REVIT with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Candidate must have a valid driver's license and experience in construction environments.
The successful candidate must be able to drive to client sites in the greater New England/Northeast region, pass a background check (as may be required by our clients), and have strong math, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Self-motivation is key. Preference will be given to candidates who also demonstrate excellent communication skills.
This mid-level position involves situational awareness, which is critical. The candidate should be comfortable in active construction zones and loud, dirty/dusty mechanical rooms and mezzanines, on rooftoops, and with climbing ladders (indoors and outdoors); they must also have experience working around rotating mechanical equipment.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in construction (mechanical trades), and/or experience using a variety of balancing and testing equipment for water-side and air-side mechanical systems
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and REVIT and the ability to work independently and efficiently in a deadline-driven environment with minimal daily supervision
Responsibilities
- Conducting on site building surveys of existing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, including use of laser scanning equipment
- Designing and detailing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection building systems on AutoCAD and REVIT
- Supporting engineering staff as necessary
- Performing general office duties as requested
