Certified Phlebotomist

Job Summary
Skilled Certified Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and specimen collection with precision and care, ensuring the highest standards of patient service and safety. This role requires a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques to provide excellent patient care while maintaining laboratory protocols.

Job Title: Certified Phlebotomy Technician - Temporary
Location: San Diego, CA
Job Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 19 Weeks (04/07/2025 - 08/19/2025)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (9 hours per day)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collection and specimen processing according to laboratory protocols.
• Work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accurate and timely results.
• Provide staffing coverage at other SY Health facilities as needed.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Preferred 3 months of medical laboratory experience as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT).
• Certification: Current California State Phlebotomy Licensure required.
• BLS Certification: Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.
• Languages: Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
