Phlebotomy Technician

Overview
Seeking a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) for a full-time, temporary assignment in Alpine, CA. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic outpatient care setting with the potential for contract extension. The CPT will perform blood draws, specimen processing, and lab-related administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and compassionate patient care.

Job Type: Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
Location: Alpine, CA
Duration: 17 weeks, with a potential of extension
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Float: Required

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a medical laboratory setting as a CPT
• Education: High school diploma or GED required
• License/Certifications:
• Current California State Phlebotomy License (required)
• Current CPR (BLS) certification (required)
• Other Requirements:
• Valid, clean Driver’s License (required)
• Preferred: Bilingual in English/Spanish, proficient in medical terminology

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection with accuracy and safety
• Label, process, and transport specimens according to policy
• Maintain equipment and inventory in lab area
• Provide patient instructions and excellent customer service
• Document procedures and results in EMR accurately
• Support clinic team with flexible coverage across sites when needed
