Responsibilities
- Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture or capillary puncture techniques.
- Label and properly store blood samples for laboratory testing.
- Verify patient information and maintain accurate records of blood draws.
- Ensure aseptic and safe procedures during blood collection.
- Interact with patients in a compassionate and professional manner, addressing their concerns.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of specimens.
- Completion of a Phlebotomy Technician program or equivalent training.
- Phlebotomy Technician certification.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in blood collection techniques.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control.
