What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Controller position at Stone and Leigh LLC?
VLR, LLC / Stone and Leigh Furniture is currently interviewing qualified candidates for the position of Controller. This is full time, onsite position located in Morganton N.C that includes corporate finance responsibilities for two operations, one in Morganton, NC and one in Mexico.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; and other duties may be assigned:
- Manages general, cost, and other financial activities, including: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory valuation, capital expenditure ROI and financial tracking and fixed assets.
- Manages treasury and cash activities, including: domestic and foreign bank transactions, daily cash and EFT transactions. Also modeling and managing 13 week cash flow model.
- Works with CFO to coordinate the development of the Annual Operating Budget along with developing and managing quarterly forecast updates. Helps establish and implement budgets and monitors expenditures against the budget/forecast.
- Work with CFO to develop financial metrics which to measure weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operational results against forecasted baselines and targeted goals.
- Manages the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process. Prepares internal and external financial reports. Analyzes financial performance to Budget and forecasts.
- Coordinates with independent auditors on accounting matters.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty timely and satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; or equivalent combination of education and experience; minimum 10 yrs of progressive, hands-on accounting managerial experience.
· Demonstrated experience in managing and Team building.
· Must possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
· Demonstrated ability in leading process improvement initiatives.
· Solid project management skills including attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple high priority tasks.
· Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Requires proficiency in ERP environment, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Salary range of $100,000.-$150,000. Dependent on degree and experience.
