Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This position requires strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in transportation management systems.

Duties

• Manage daily dispatch operations, including scheduling and routing of shipments.
• Utilize Oracle Transportation Management and GPS systems to monitor vehicle locations and optimize routes.
• Communicate effectively with drivers regarding pick-up and delivery schedules, providing clear instructions and updates.
• Handle shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
• Maintain organized records of all dispatched loads, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
• Address any issues or delays that arise during the transportation process, implementing solutions as needed.
• Exhibit excellent phone etiquette while interacting with clients, drivers, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to improve transportation planning strategies and enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dispatching or a related field within logistics or transportation management is preferred.
• Familiarity with Oracle Transportation Management software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GPS technology and its application in transportation logistics.
• Excellent phone skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes is beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
