Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and inspire on-site teams, setting clear expectations, providing guidance, and holding team members accountable.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, personal accountability, and professional growth.
- Develop and mentor foremen and crew members to build a high-performing team.
- Champion safety on the job site by conducting safety briefings, audits, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Enforce safety policies and address safety concerns to maintain a safe working environment.
- Supervise all on-site activities, including material deliveries, equipment, and subcontractor coordination.
- Maintain close communication with the Project Manager to ensure all project goals are met, including timeline, quality, and budgetary expectations.
- Resolve any issues that arise on-site and communicate solutions effectively to stakeholders.
- Ensure efficient use of resources and manage the flow of materials on-site to prevent delays and optimize project timelines.
- Oversee the coordination of subcontractors, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact on-site for clients, addressing any concerns and providing updates on progress.
- Maintain clear communication with the production and project management teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure work is completed according to specifications and quality standards.
- Hold teams accountable for delivering high-quality results and ensure proper documentation of completed work.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in wall systems or construction, with a proven track record of managing successful projects.
- Experience in managing large, complex wall systems projects, including aluminum composite panels, metal wall panels, and other exterior cladding systems.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and manage high-pressure situations effectively.
- Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused attitude and guide teams to meet challenging goals.
- In-depth knowledge of wall systems, including aluminum composite panels, fiber cement, rain screens, and other exterior cladding materials.
- Familiarity with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards related to wall systems.
- OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or a related degree is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and work in various weather conditions.
Work Environment:
The Wall Systems Superintendent will work primarily on construction sites, managing teams in dynamic and physically demanding environments. Travel between job sites is expected. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends based on project requirements.
