What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Event Planner (Weekend) position at Stonewood?
Stonewood is seeking highly organized and creative Part-Time Wedding Planners to join our mission in bringing couple’s dream weddings to life! This role is perfect for someone passionate about weddings, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing logistics, vendors, and timelines.
This position requires availability to manage all aspects of a minimum of one wedding event per month, approximately 25 hours of work per wedding. Expect to work a 16-hour day (and night) on the day of the wedding (Friday/Saturday, occasionally Sunday), approximately 9:00am until 2:00am (required).
You will be handed a folder for your assigned wedding event approximately four months prior to the event date. You will then take responsibility for all communications with the bride, owning the event and seeing through perfection from start to finish. You will be on-site, coordinating with all kitchen staff, servers, and management to orchestrate smooth operations the entirety of the wedding day. On-site meetings prior to the wedding date will also be required.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of the assigned wedding event(s) from start to finish
- Work closely with couples to understand their vision, style, and budget
- Plan and coordinate wedding details including décor and menu items
- Discuss, communicate and support all event contract details and requests with staff
- Assist in scheduling servers and coordinating staff needed for the event
- Oversee and direct up to 15 catering servers and bartenders per event
- Setup and placement of tables, chairs, cutlery, plates, glasses, linens, centerpieces, heating lamps, serving utensils, carving stations
- Coordinate with all kitchen staff and servers to ensure the highest quality and presentation of meals and dishes are delivered and served promptly at requested time
- Practice and enforce strict food safety and sanitation guidelines, including food temperatures, at all times
- Oversee and observe all operations and communicate any areas of improvement to the General Manager
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability and dedication to work the required wedding event and all additional hours necessary to guarantee successful operations
- Previous experience in wedding or event planning

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk and stand the majority of a 16-hour event (or more)
- Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, pushing and lifting up to 50 pounds
