What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sleep Center Technologist Intern position at Stoughton Health?
Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Sleep Center Technologist Intern to join our team on a Full-Time basis in our Sleep Lab department.
The Sleep Center Technologist Intern will work under the direction of the Sleep Center Technologist. The Sleep Center Technologist Intern is in training to perform polysomnograms and other sleep disorders tests. The Sleep Center Technologist Intern is responsible for attaching electrodes and monitors to patients who are participating in a sleep study, monitoring the patient throughout the sleep study, documenting observations, and collecting data from various monitors. As the training professes the intern is also responsible for pressure titration and oxygen therapy when applicable as well as scoring reports.
Position Requirements :
- Required : High School graduate or equivalent
- Professional Experience : Prefer prior sleep center experience
- Required Licensure : Through training will complete the AASM Intro course and modules towards obtaining BRPT registry.
- Certification : BLS certification at hire within 90 days of hire
- Computer Competency : Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
- Microsoft Office Suite Skills : Beginning Skills - Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.
