What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sleep Center Technologist position at Stoughton Health?
Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Sleep Disorders Center Technologist to join our team on a Full-Time basis in our Sleep Lab department.
The Sleep Disorder Center Technologist will work under the direction of the Sleep Center Medical Director and perform polysomnograms and other sleep disorder tests. The Sleep Center Technologist is responsible for attaching electrodes and monitors to patients participating in a sleep study, monitoring the patient throughout the sleep study documenting observations, collecting data from various monitors, and reporting the information to the physician. The Sleep Center Technologist is also responsible for pressure titration and oxygen therapy when applicable as well as scoring reports.
Position Requirements :
- Required : High School graduate or equivalent, Graduate of an approved School of Respiratory Therapy or Completion of a Sleep Lab Training Program
- Preferred : Associate's degree
- Professional Experience : Prefer prior sleep center experience
- Required Licensure : Currently Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
- Preferred Licensure : Wisconsin Respiratory Therapist licensure
- Certification : Current BLS certification at hire. Prefer current ACLS certification.
- Computer Competency : Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
- Microsoft Office Suite Skills : Beginning Skills - Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.
