As the Development Associate , you will be integral to magnifying OJPC's mission, presence, and successes by supporting and assisting the Director of Development in all duties connected to fundraising from individual donors, foundations, and events. You will be responsible for entering donations and generating donor acknowledgments in the fundraising database, data management and reporting, assisting in writing donor communications, grant requests, and reports, researching individual donors, and helping to plan and execute events.
In addition, as the Development Associate you will :
- Work directly with the director of development to manage the department calendar, project workflow, and oversee day-to-day milestones for projects.
- Process donations and enter fundraising data into the OJPC donor database; generate donor acknowledgments.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of databases by ensuring all information is kept current; meticulous attention to detail is required.
- Track and manage reports on current and potential donors, providing regular updates on fundraising status across various campaigns.
- Ensure all pledges are invoiced correctly, payments are received as stated in agreements, and donors are thanked in a timely manner.
- Create mailing lists and draft fundraising and acknowledgment letters.
- Assist in planning, interviewing staff and / or clients, and drafting content for other donor communications, including email newsletters and the annual report.
- Assist in donor cultivation opportunities by making calls, sending cards, and scheduling calls and meetings for OJPC directors.
- Research and identify prospective new donors and their interests.
- Coordinate logistics of fundraising events and activities as directed, including a major annual fundraising event and several smaller events.
- Assist in compiling information for grant applications and reports.
- Provide general administrative support for the director of development, including staffing support for the board development committee and internal donor connections meetings.

Salary range is $50,000 ~ $55,000, based on experience and qualifications. Competitive benefits package including 27 PTO days, 13 paid holidays, plus an annual winter break between Christmas and New Year's.
