What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Sales Manager - Health/Fitness position at StretchLab - Spartanburg?
StretchLab is seeking an experienced Assistant Sales Manager to help with sales activities (and some operations) for a health & fitness boutique studio on Spartanburg’s East side. This is a part time role and provides an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated sales-oriented individual to not only help grow a modern studio, but also create a positive environment for the entire team to flourish. This position has the opportunity to eventually develop into full time.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about both health/fitness and sales. We're really looking for someone with high energy and a "let's do it" attitude. Problem solving skills and a creative personality are a plus.
This role is mostly sales, so you must be good at and enjoy sales!! And you do not need to have experience in fitness or health membership sales to excel, you just need to be great at high-end sales and be business savvy!!

REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years sales experience preferred but does NOT need to have been in the fitness industry
- Energy, energy, energy - upbeat and positive personality
- Confidence and ability to learn our sales process
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with Sales Manager and/or Studio Owner
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone, in social media, and via email/text
- An affinity and passion for fitness is extremely helpful
- Highly organized, proficient in data management, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
- Proficiency with computers and Studio club management software (ClubReady)
- Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work some evenings (not all) and weekends
- we're only open 3 evenings a week, and weekends are only until 2pm
DUTIES:
- Manage the phones and front desk duties
- Participate in lead generation, including Grass Roots Marketing
- Apply sales process to schedule prospects into Intro appointments
- Manage studio schedule to meet the needs of current clientele and future sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fitness studio
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- This position offers a base salary; based on experience & performance
- Base starts at $13-$15/hr plus commission
- Commission paid on membership sales and retail
- Complimentary 4x25 Membership included with employment (with 15 hrs/wk schedule)
