Job Overview: The Patient Monitoring (RPM) Coordinator is essential to enhancing patient care through remote monitoring technologies. Based in our endocrinology office in Lauderdale Lakes, FL, this role requires occasional travel to nearby South Florida offices. The RPM Coordinator will implement, monitor, and manage remote patient monitoring systems, specifically Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs) and Blood Glucose Monitors (BGMs). This includes close collaboration with healthcare providers and patients to ensure effective device use, data interpretation, and guidance on optimal health management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish strong relationships with patients, ensuring comfort and confidence in using RPM devices.
- Set up, configure, and manage RPM devices, including glucometers, blood pressure monitors, and other health monitoring tools.
- Provide training and ongoing support to patients for RPM device usage.
- Monitor patient data from RPM devices, generating reports for healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to interpret patient data and support informed care decisions.
- Schedule patient follow-ups, troubleshoot sessions, and device maintenance.
- Address technical issues related to RPM devices, coordinating repairs or replacements as necessary.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry in electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain patient health and safety by providing continuous monitoring support.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required) for effective communication with diverse patient populations.
- Prior experience in healthcare, medical technology, or remote patient monitoring systems is preferred.
- Technologically savvy with knowledge of health monitoring devices and data interpretation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for RPM device support.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and data management.
