POSITION SUMMARY : The Accounting Manager oversees all accounting and reporting activities within the Stroudsmoor Country Inn. The Accounting Manager is responsible for internal financial reporting, including preparing and processing activity for monthly financial statements. Evaluates financial operating reports and ensures financial and operating reporting goals and objectives are met with high quality and in a timely manner.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Prepares monthly / period financial statements for all entities within the organization.
- Prepares all Property tax returns.
- Prepares all city, state and federal income taxes and files other governmental reports as required, including liquor licenses.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly budgets and annual projections. Receive assistance from others in the organization but the controller is responsible for completing in final form.
- Monitors and reports the flow of cash received and disbursed.
- Prepares various internal reports and meets with General Manager as needed.
- Manages accounting processes to ensure optimal results with appropriate internal control safeguards.
- Coordinates workflow to utilize staff efficiently while streamlining processes.
- Reviews and prepares all financial statements.
- Reviews daily cash position.
- Prepares weekly check selection based on cash forecast and payment urgency for weekly cash meeting.
- Creates appropriate financial and operating reports and analysis to identify efficiency and profitability enhancement opportunities and effectively communicate results of operations.
- Prepares annual department and venue budgets, and / or quarterly forecasts, as applicable.
- Coordinates all year-end financial data for audits / tax return preparation.
- Provides direction for the accounting functions of the organization.
- Prepares financial reports and budgets.
- Accurately manages data.
- Reviews financial operating reports.
- Oversees billing and collection processes.
- Maintain appropriate internal control safeguards over accounting functions.
- Prepares and supports journal entries.
- Reconciles all bank and inter-company accounts.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
