Proposal Manager – Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Proposal Manager to lead and execute proposal efforts aligned with Structura’s goals and growth objectives. Based in Austin, with offices in San Antonio, New Braunfels, and Houston, this role manages the development of proposals and presentations while mentoring support staff and contributing to Structura’s continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
Proposal Development and Management:
- Oversee the entire proposal process, from RFQ/RFP review to submission, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
- Lead strategy sessions to develop win themes and tailor proposals to meet client-specific needs.
- Coordinate with technical teams to gather and integrate content, ensuring cohesive, high-quality deliverables.
- Manage schedules, assign tasks, and track progress to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
Presentation and Interview Preparation:
- Develop engaging presentation materials for client interviews, incorporating visuals and messaging that align with project goals.
- Train and prepare project teams for interviews, conducting mock sessions and providing feedback.
- Document lessons learned from interviews to improve future pursuits.
Content and Data Management:
- Maintain and organize a comprehensive library of proposal content, including project descriptions, resumes, and visuals.
- Update and refine boilerplate content to reflect current company capabilities and industry trends.
- Utilize CRM systems and proposal management tools to track opportunities and manage information.
Marketing and Branding Support:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to produce promotional materials that enhance the company’s brand.
- Support the creation of award submissions, advertising campaigns, and other initiatives to promote firm recognition.
- Ensure brand consistency across all proposal and marketing materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal management within the A/E/C industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and proposal management tools.
