You will oversee key areas such as order fulfillment, inventory management and replenishment, customer service, safety, housekeeping, and transportation activities for the assigned shift and/or teams.

Responsibilities
- Supervises daily activities of associates, ensuring safe, efficient operations that meet customer expectations. Sets job expectations, coaches performance, enforces policies, and resolves issues. Leads shift goals and ensures adherence to safety and housekeeping standards.
- Participates in hiring, training, and mentoring new team members. Develops skills and leadership abilities of shift leads, facilitates cross-training, and fosters teamwork to maintain a flexible workforce and positive work environment.
- Approves time & attendance, manages time-off requests, and ensures proper coverage without impacting workload or service levels. Communicates concerns to management.
- Collaborates with manufacturing, shuttle drivers, and purchasing teams to manage inbound/outbound activities, ensuring smooth transfers of materials and timely order fulfillment.
- Oversees receiving processes, ensuring accuracy and timely updates to inventory counts. Resolves receipt issues and manages warehouse space efficiently.
- Ensures outbound trucks are loaded correctly and on time to meet customer delivery expectations. Communicates with traffic and cross-functional teams to optimize workflows.
- Provides regular updates to management regarding operational issues, performance, inventory discrepancies, and problem resolutions. Implements solutions to prevent service failures.
- Ensures inventory control processes are followed, resolving discrepancies, conducting cycle counts, and completing replenishment activities.
- Enforces safety and housekeeping protocols, maintains equipment, and secures company products. Reports safety and security issues promptly.
- Recommends and participates in process improvements to enhance productivity, service, and operational efficiency.
- Provides support across shifts and locations as needed, covering for absences and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of supervisory/management experience in distribution in a similar pick/pack warehouse environment.
- Flexible with shift hours and willing to adapt to business needs.
- Must reside within a reasonable commute to the distribution center.
- Strong leadership skills in a fast-paced, complex operation.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, or business preferred.
- Extensive background in inventory control and management.
- Hands-on, visible leader with a strong work ethic and passion for process improvement and team development.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; quick to learn ERP software. Epicor P21 experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions and resolve conflicts.

This position is based on-site at our Fremont, Ohio distribution center, which typically operates Monday through Friday across two shifts. Some travel may be required.
