What are the responsibilities and job description for the Learning Support Paraprofessional position at Substitute Teacher Service?
STS is Seeking a High School Learning Support Paraprofessional.
We are searching for an individual to work in a small group or 1/1 with students in a classroom setting. This position will also assist, support, and work closely with teachers, administrators, and other team members in providing educational benefit for the student(s) in the classroom in a professional manner and with respect for confidentiality.
- Provide support for assigned student(s) in all educational settings to include the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, recreational areas and field trips (if requested) etc.
- Assist and support student(s) academically. Redirect and use positive reinforcement skills to elicit a positive outcome for student's learning.
- Monitor student(s) safety at all times
- Maintains high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students
