About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity to support our Technology team as an Intern- Infrastructure - Desktop Technician based in Shelton, CT. The Desktop Technician Intern will assist in providing technical support to our employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth operation of desktop systems. This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in desktop support within a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems and software applications.
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
- Set up and deploy new desktops and laptops for employees.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and system optimizations.
- Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and solutions.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.
- Assist in IT projects as needed, such as system upgrades and migrations.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices
Qualifications:
- Student must be enrolled at a four (4) year college or university for the duration of the internship.
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least minimum of 75 credit hours (rising Senior).
- Overall cumulative minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) required.
- Academic Majors: Pursuing degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field..
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be willing to be on site in Shelton during the internship.
- Basic understanding of desktop hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Prior experience in IT support or customer service is a plus.
Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, qualifications, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
