You will engage students in the creative process, foster their talents, and deepen their knowledge and understanding of art, design, and art history. Collaboration with other art educators to build a premier art program within a vibrant school culture that promotes self-expression is also key.
A strong background in Visual Arts, dedication to student success, and commitment to creating an inclusive and inspiring classroom environment are essential requirements for this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build a safe and joyful classroom culture where scholars develop a love for art.
- Engage students in the creative process and foster their talents, while deepening their knowledge and understanding of art, design, and art history.
- Collaborate with Art Teachers across the network to build a premier art program.
- Cultivate a school environment that prioritizes aesthetics and makes learning visible to the community.
- Engage in multiple Professional Developments to benefit from targeted, in-the-moment feedback on instruction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Visual, Fine, or Studio Arts (Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, and Ceramics) or Art Education.
- Outstanding record of academic achievement.
- Art or art education portfolio that showcases your skill-set and demonstrates your passion for art and learning.
- Experience with holistic exposures to art and art history.
- Ability to set ambitious goals for yourself and set high expectations for your Scholars.
- Embracing collaboration is crucial.
Compensation: Starting From $60,000.00
