What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Director - Controller position at Sugar Mill Country Club?
Education and/or Experience
· Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college
· 5 years experience working in the country club business preferred
· Familiarity with not-for-profit business
· Experience overseeing information technology
· Experience overseeing a team/department that makes up the financial center of a business
Core competencies
· Monitors cash flows
· Build financial reports for daily, monthly, and annual sales and expenses
· Coordinates annual operating plan across multiple departments
· Knowledge of pertinent federal and state laws that would involve payroll, taxes, and regulations for a not-for-profit
Job Summary
· Direct the financial operations of the club
· Supervise the accounting department and directly assist the General Manager and Club Treasurer on all matters relating to budget, cost control, forecasting, and internal controls
· Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and analyses for all administrative and managerial functions.
· Maintain all accounting records
· Maintain all payroll records
· Evaluate operating results for costs, revenues, and budgets for all club departments
