We currently have 18 communities located across the Twin Cities metro area with our Corporate Office located in White Bear Lake, MN. This position will be ON-SITE at our Corporate Office. Some travel to our Twin Cities based communities may be required.

Job Summary
The HR Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support the organization's Human Resource operations and management staff. Tasks will include areas of Recruitment, Onboarding, Employee Relations, Benefits and Payroll. This is a great opprotunity for an entry-level HR professional to gain a variety of experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for posting non-exempt positions for our assisted living sites.
- Assist with recruiting/screening.
- Assist with new hire onboarding and employee record compliance.
- Handles background checks for administrative and management hires.
- Scan and upload HR documents into the HRIS as needed.
- Create and prepare reports for management upon request.
- Manage and ensure our payroll company has activated garnishments, child support info, and other income withholding orders.
- Works with facility management and HR Manager to respond to unemployment and workers compensation claims.
- Complete employment verifications for employees, financial institutions, and government agencies.
- First point of contact for HR dept phone inquiries and mail.
- Quarterly community surveys.
- Minimum of one year of experience in supporting HR functions. Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
- Associate degree or above in Human Resources or a related field.
- Familiarity with online job boards, experience with Indeed and ApplicantPro preferred.
- Solid time management and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships and partnerships.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and easily adapt to change.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Sharepoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using an HRIS (isolved preferred but not required).
- Ability to effectively manage sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
- Ability to work independently as well as contribute to the overall success of the team.
- Basic knowledge of MN employment law, unemployment processes, and garnishments is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a MN Dept of Human Services NetStudy background check.
