Service Ambassador - Protective Services
Tuesday-Thursday 7:00am - 3:30pm additional coverage as needed
Summary:
Performs clerical support duties to maintain Identification Badge System. Processes information for various Security systems, Human Resources systems, and Parking systems. Provides high quality customer service to all interacting with the Badge Office. Performs web based fingerprinting functions for background checks, assist with lost and found as needed, assists with dispatching as needed.
Formal Education Required:
a. High School level coursework in English Grammar, Composition and Basic Mathematics
Experience & Training Required:
a. Two years experience in a customer service role.
b. Experience using Excel.
c. C*Cure, Card Access Control and Security Management System experience preferred
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Excellent customer service skills
b. Moderate computer skills
c. Ability to pass typing test administered by HR of 30 WPM
d. Ability to handle information in a confidential manner.
e. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with managers and staff in user areas (e.g., nursing staff, secretaries, nursing assistant, physician office staff, etc.)
f. Ability to maintain a customer focus in all work activities
g. Ability to work well with a team environment: by accepting and offering honest and constructive feedback by supporting team goals and encouraging other team members
h. Ability to understand and carry out the vision of patient care at Summa: to create a patient care environment that is focused on the needs and expectations of the patients
i. Ability to use all methods of communication effectively including electronic methods
j. Ability to be self-directed in executing responsibilities of the team structure
k. Ability to take initiative to contribute beyond the scope of formal duties (suggesting innovative ideas and providing suggestions for the teams continued success)
l. Shows flexibility and adaptability in meeting the environmental constraints and demands placed on services as is common with changing reimbursement and managed care targets
m. Must be 21 years of age or over at time of hire
n. Must have valid Ohio Drivers License
o. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
