Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Program Coordinator to oversee the development and implementation of programs for a summer camp- ages 5-10.
The camp begins July 8 - August 16, with 4 days of orientation (July 1,2,3,5), 1 week of job development in April/May and 1 day of clean up.
The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a background in social work or teaching and a passion for enhancing the lives of children. This role requires effective management and the ability to supervise the program and staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of programs .
- Develop, implement, and evaluate program initiatives to ensure they meet the needs of campers.
- Oversee budgeting processes with Committee Chair for the allocation of resources needed for the program.
- Supervise program staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
- Foster strong relationships with campers, families, and staff.
- Maintain documentation related to program.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify areas for improvement of the program.
- Collaborate with Director and Committee Chair on all activities for participants.
Experience
- Proven experience in program management or development.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Experience supervising staff and managing teams effectively.
- Excellent relationship management skills, capable of building rapport with diverse populations.
- A background in social work or teaching is highly desirable.
