Summer Camp Director

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Camp Director to lead our summer camp program. The Camp Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of camp operations, ensuring a safe, engaging, and educational environment for campers. This role requires strong leadership skills, creativity in program development, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community.

Duties

• Develop and implement a comprehensive camp curriculum that promotes education and personal growth.
• Supervise camp staff, providing training and support to ensure high-quality programming.
• Foster a positive camp culture that encourages teamwork, respect, and inclusivity among campers and staff.
• Manage daily camp operations including scheduling activities, coordinating logistics, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress, concerns, and program updates.
• Organize special events and activities that enhance the camper experience.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through feedback from campers, parents, and staff to continuously improve offerings.

Requirements

• Experience working with students in an educational setting is essential.
• A background in higher education teaching or education administration is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with campers, parents, and staff.
• A passion for educating youth and fostering their personal development through engaging activities.
• Ability to create a safe and supportive environment for all campers.
• Previous experience in camp leadership or related roles is a plus.
