Employee in this position is responsible for the daily oversight of the Independent Living Program, and serves as a professional manager over Advocate staff, ensuring that quality care is provided to persons with developmental disabilities living in their own homes. This program supports more independent people who may need training in specific areas such as budgeting, shopping, food selection and preparation, schedule planning, or managing appointments. The ILS Manager is also responsible for program expansion and enhancement, to ensure positive service performance outcomes. Under general supervision of the Executive Director, the employee works within general methods and procedures and exercises considerable judgment to adapt and apply the guidelines to specific situations. The work requires knowledge of the policies, procedures and regulations of developmental disabilities programs and knowledge of supervisory techniques and personnel policies and procedures specific to Summer House. Employees must also have the ability to manage and maintain awareness regarding complex schedules of employees who do not typically report to the office on a daily basis. Employee in this position is required to travel to meet with clients on a routine basis in Yolo County

We pay for the cost of these post offer requirements:
-Must have or be able to successfully complete First Aid/CPR;
Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) background clearance.
-Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical and TB test.
You also have:
-One year of supervisory experience.
-Reliable transportation, Valid California Driver's license and the ability to be insured by our insurance carrier is required.
-Must be 18 years of age or older.
-Have flexibility to be available to work days, evenings, holidays and weekends as required to meet the needs of the program.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
