Examples of Duties
Perform complex administrative tasks to support the County Manager, County Attorney the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), and associated offices. The Manager’s office administrative assistants work closely with County leadership and are essential to the functioning of the Manager’s office. Daily tasks include attending BOCC public meetings, preparing Board packets, taking minutes, processing materials and documents, reconciling monthly credit card statements, processing invoices, receiving and distributing mail for the County, maintaining Attorney files for court cases and efilings, performing notary services, assist with maintaining and updating the County website, coordinating events and meetings, and distributing and maintaining highly confidential materials and information on a daily basis. Successful candidates in this role are detail-oriented, self-motivated, interested in local government and have a background in administrative work.
Typical Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field and/or three years of office administration and related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least two years’ experience in an office environment with demonstrated experience in administrative work, with working knowledge of government policy preferred.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND FORMAL TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 3 years of office administration experience
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:
- Colorado Public Notary
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License at time of appointment and throughout employment
