Summit Golf Brands is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of eCommerce to lead our online retail presence. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of site development, strategy, and operations to drive growth and enhance the customer experience. The Head of eCommerce will lead a high-performing team and collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure our digital platforms are best-in-class.


Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer


Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Site Management: Identify, evaluate, and execute initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and streamline processes within Shopify, ensuring a seamless user experience across the platform.
  • Product Launches and Web Updates: Oversee and manage all aspects of product launches and web updates, ensuring timely and accurate implementation, and maintaining alignment with overall business goals.
  • Vendor and Third-Party Management: Manage relationships with third parties, including web development agencies, warehouse operations, and marketing partners, to ensure cohesive and effective collaboration.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize Shopify and Google Analytics to monitor website performance, including traffic, customer behavior, and sales trends. Prepare and share comprehensive reports with key stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
  • Merchandising and Inventory Optimization: Leverage data to optimize merchandising strategies, manage inventory effectively, and continuously update the website based on product availability, sales trends, and new product launches.
  • User Experience (UX) Improvement: Evaluate the user experience across various categories, identifying opportunities to simplify and enhance website navigation and overall customer journey.
  • Operational Coordination: Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to track and manage sales and returns, ensuring efficient and accurate processes.
  • Customer Feedback Integration: Lead and partner with customer service teams to ensure customer feedback is effectively captured, addressed, and integrated into website updates and overall strategy.
  • Website Development and Optimization: Collaborate with web developers to implement best-in-class website experiences, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal user experience.
  • Content Management and Site Merchandising: Oversee site content and support site merchandising efforts, working closely with merchandising teams to maintain an engaging and visually appealing online presence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to deliver a cohesive and exceptional experience across all customer touchpoints.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Direct and oversee the eCommerce team, including customer service and site merchandising, to ensure high performance, efficiency, and the implementation of best-in-class practices. Instill a leadership-focused culture within the team.


Education & Experience:


  • 5-10 years of experience in eCommerce management, with a strong focus on Shopify.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven expertise in utilizing Shopify and Google Analytics to drive website performance and optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, with the ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple initiatives.
  • Technical understanding for effective collaboration with web development agencies, including the ability to manage web development projects from conception through implementation.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a proven ability to derive actionable insights from data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Track record of successfully managing product launches, website updates, and operational efficiency improvements.
  • In-depth understanding of UX principles and a passion for enhancing the customer journey through continuous website optimization.
  • Strong leadership skills with a collaborative mindset and the ability to effectively partner with cross-functional teams.
