What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant- Home Health position at SUMMIT HOME HEALTH & HOSPICE?
Our Home Health Administrative Assistant supports the daily operations by performing day to day clerical tasks and providing a range of administrative support to staff members including, tracking and receiving orders, authorizations, supply ordering and handling client documents. In this role you will also serve as the receptionist for Home Health Office and be responsible for maintenance and provision of various reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Order Management: Follow-up with doctors’ offices on physicians' orders, as well as communicate with sales team regarding their accounts. Communicate with nurses on the status of their pending documentation
- Administrative Support: Provide support to staff members, manage patient records and physician orders, and handle scheduling and staffing confirmations.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with clinical staff and sales team which includes notifying appropriate staff of difficulties as observed by tracking records
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Supply Ordering: Maintain Home Health supply inventory for clinical staff
- Authorizations: Verify insurances for services and obtain authorization of visits and confirm clinical documentation is complete
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of all clients, family, and employee information.
- Clerical: Perform clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, organizing documents and any other tasks as assigned
- Physical Demands: Light to medium physical work, including desk work and some bending/stretching.
