Position Details:
Currently we are looking for two candidates for this position who will serve the Fort Collins, Loveland, and Greeley Colorado areas. You will be part of a team that works the full-time shift of Monday to Friday day shift hours with the expectation of participating in rotating evening and Sunday shifts.
Some travel will be required between the hospital sites during shifts hours and will be compensated accordingly.
You will be part of a robust team of Pathologists, ASCP Certified Pathologists’ Assistants, Grossing Technicians, and Lab Aides who have the support of an administrative team.
Qualifications:
NAACLS Accredited Program completion as a Pathologists’ Assistant.
ASCP Certified, or ASCP exam ready with certification imminent. New graduates or PA students nearing successful completion are welcome to apply.
The ability to work independently and in a team structure. Patient-Centered mentality.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and utilize effective communication skills both in person and virtually.
Additional preferred qualifications include:
Prior Grossing experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
Proper specimen handling to include:
Proper and accurate patient sample identification, not limited to fresh, frozen or cassette labeling.
Use of laboratory equipment in regard to cutting with microtome, dissection, staining and handling of tissue.
Adherence and modeling of all HIPPA regulations and standards, as well as modeling and practicing all safety standards when in and around grossing areas, labs, and surgical areas.
Maintain lab equipment as well as help to educate and train others on proper use.
Maintain all required certifications and annual continuing education credits.

Salary range: $110,500.00 to $130,000.00 depending on experience and qualifications.
