Summit Radiology is looking to expand our administrative team to meet the demands of our growing organization. We are looking to add a full-time credentialing coordinator to help us handle our ever-growing team of radiologists.
Duties:
- Coordinate and manage the credentialing process for healthcare providers within a managed care organization.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements related to provider credentialing.
- Collect and review provider applications, verifying accuracy and completeness of information.
- Conduct primary source verification of provider credentials, including education, training, licensure, and certifications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider files and databases.
- Communicate with providers to obtain missing or additional documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external organizations to facilitate the credentialing process.
- Assist in the development and implementation of credentialing policies and procedures.
- Monitor expiring credentials and initiate the recredentialing process in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to provider credentialing.
- Adapts to a changing environment prioritizing and reprioritizing to meet deadlines.
Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in provider credentialing within a managed care setting preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
