Sun Air Jets is seeking a temporary human resources support position from June 2024 through October 2024. The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department. This position assists with HR programs, maintains confidential administrative and clerical duties, and supports managers with the hiring process.

Essential Job Functions
- Introduction to recruiting and sourcing candidates, posting job advertisements, and scheduling interviews.
- Tracks the status of candidates in HRIS and maintains communications between candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Assists with new hire orientation and onboarding.
- Provide administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry, and other clerical functions.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Assists with planning and executing special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and other workplace celebrations.
- Other projects as reasonably assigned by management.
Required Qualifications/Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
