This position is responsible for accurate and timely performance of accounts payable duties as assigned by the Controller that include but are not limited to processing invoices and coding to appropriate jobs and GL’s, processing weekly check runs, checking statements and working with vendors.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for accurate and timely performance of accounts payable duties as assigned by the Controller that include but are not limited to processing invoices and coding to appropriate jobs and GL’s, processing weekly check runs, checking statements and working with vendors.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable
- Code and manage invoices for payment into the accounting software program
- Electronically route invoices to appropriate department heads for approval
- Review invoices for sales and use tax
- Maintain vendor relationships, research and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.
- Ensure all invoices are appropriately coded to the correct GL account/job number
- Process weekly check run and print checks
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately which includes W-9’s,
- Process & manage credit card payments.
- Opportunities for cross training and advancement
- Additional duties as assigned based on the needs of the company
- Motivated, adaptive, and strong personality
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent abilities with computers and Microsoft Office products
- Strong Time-Management Skills
- Strong Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers
- Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment
- Two year accounting degree preferred
- 2 years of accounting work experience preferred, strong knowledge in accounts payables
- Construction industry experience/knowledge a strong plus
