What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Accounts Payable Clerk position at Sun Mountain Lodge?
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and internal departments. This role is critical in maintaining the financial integrity of Sun Mountain Lodge and its affiliates
Key Responsibilities:
Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy, ensuring compliance with accounting company policies.
- Prepare and schedule payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies
including any sales / use taxes
- Reconcile all vendor statements against the actual invoices posted. Determine any missing invoices and secure copies for processing.
- Maintain and update vendor records, including W-9 forms and payment terms and/or preferences.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues in a timely manner.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and any other projects assigned by the Controller
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all accounts payable transactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage purchase orders and expense reports.
- Support audits by providing requested documentation and explanations
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., , SAP, M3, ) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
Working Conditions:
Standard office environment with occasional extended hours during peak periods.
