About the Role
As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will:
Utilizes CMMS software to input data regarding equipment, job plans, maintenance schedules, work orders, and other items related to the administration of the computerized maintenance system.
Compile reports and maintains records for the department.
Order, receive, unpack, check, store, and track merchandise specifically related to the maintenance department.
Sort, organize, and mark items with identifying codes, such as part descriptions or bin location or inventory control codes, so that inventories can be located quickly and easily.
Responsible for ensuring proper and accurate parts inventory levels, performs routine analysis of inventories, cycle counts, and adjusts as needed.
Maintain parts organization within the shop. Stores materials in bins, on the floor, on shelves, or in racks and may be required to lift heavy cartons of various sizes.
Develops and maintains filing systems for all maintenance records and is responsible for accurate record-keeping within the Department.
Will be required to interface with vendors and manufacturers on a regular basis as it relates to procurement of goods, warranty returns, and other equipment/inventory control processes.
May be required to expedite parts or services as needed from vendors and manufacturers.
Ability to organize and manage project budgets, contractors, and timeframes.
Coordinating maintenance efforts between technicians.
Provide technical support and training to operators.
Assessing procedures and making recommendations for improvement.
Other duties as required and/or assigned.
Experience and Key Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related experience
Courses in mechanical drawing, woodworking, electricity, and blueprint reading a plus.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Must be able to operate a personal computer, printer/scanner, and other office equipment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have above average knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory software, Manufacturing software, and possess general email writing and online research skills.
Language/Communication: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business correspondence, analytical models, and reports. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and other related stakeholders.
This position is performed in manufacturing environment. There may be exposure to noise, work near moving mechanical parts and forklifts, citrus fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions. The employee may be required to stand, walk and sit for long periods at a time, wear the proper protective equipment as required, climb a ladder or stairs, hear and communicate readily, use both hands and arms. Use of telephone, cell phones, a computer, copier, and other office equipment will be required.
