We’re looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team and make a real impact in our Costa Mesa, Concord, and Washington offices. Supporting over 200 employees across the company, you’ll be the vital link between management and staff, ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do:

• Full-Cycle Payroll Processing – Manage everything from prevailing wage, Davis Bacon, union, and non-union projects to final paychecks and bonus checks.
• Accuracy is Key – Audit timecards, review payroll registers, and resolve discrepancies to keep everything running smoothly.
• Collaborate & Communicate – Act as a liaison between departments and employees to ensure payroll data is collected, processed, and distributed accurately and on time.
• Tax & Reporting – Handle Federal and State tax payments, and prepare certified payroll reports in LCP Tracker and monthly union reports.
• System Management – Maintain and update our timekeeping portal and payroll software, ensuring accuracy in tax rates, 401K limits, and deductions.
• Customer Service – Provide top-notch support to both internal and external customers, resolving payroll-related questions efficiently.

What You Bring:

• Experience – 4 years in Construction Payroll and at least 1 year in Union Payroll.
• Skill Set – Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with Viewpoint Vista and LCP Tracker (a plus!).
• Attention to Detail – You pride yourself on accuracy and consistency, especially when it comes to numbers and compliance.
• Team Player – Strong collaboration skills to work seamlessly with HR, management, and employees.
• Communication – Both oral and written communication skills that make working with you a breeze!
• Certifications – Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or FPC certification is a plus.
