Description

OVERVIEW:

The Director of Technology is responsible for operationalizing our technological policies, practices, and strategic initiatives at Suncoast Beverage Sales and Arkansas Beverage Sales. This role is responsible for managing people, creating processes instituting and enforcing best practices to drive standardization, efficiency, and accuracy. The individual doing this job will need a combination of technical experience, relationship skills, and a broad knowledge of the company’s current ERP systems. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
 

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the current ERP system is used and configured efficiently to accomplish the Company’s  goals.
  • Provide knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and other sales-related technologies, to ensure that the business is leveraging technology to optimize its operations.
  • Manage IT teams, including system administrators, network engineers, security specialists, and software developers.
  • Manage the implementation, installation, and operation of hardware and software systems.
  • Manage the implementation of computer system needs for management and functional operations, assisting in the execution of projects and equipment acquisitions as needed.
  • Consult with software and hardware vendors as needed to solve problems related to technology.
  • Analyze the business needs of the Company’s employees and recommend technical solutions.
  • Manage the IT budget, evaluate technology investments, and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Provide the sales department with appropriate hardware software tools that increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Consult department heads to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of technology.
  • Oversee IT projects from initiation to completion, including new system implementations, upgrades, and technology migrations. 
  • Work with department heads and staff to develop a strategy to design, document, deploy, and train employees on processes related to hardware and software best practices.
  • Work with the routing team to facilitate new logistical capabilities and efficiencies for sales, delivery, and merchandising.
  • Provide insight to sales management to oversee and optimize sales processes, systems, and tools for efficient and effective operations.
  • Provide knowledge in Business Intelligence including business, systems, and data analytics and reporting, to demonstrate business financials, trends, and outliers to stakeholders.
  • Work with the CFO and finance team to business business acumen and financial management skills to efficiently configure and manage financials within the ERP system.
  • Manage the setups, configuration changes, and EDI errors associated with them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to both internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal employees.
  • Maintain strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and manage teams, delegate responsibility, develop and implement strategic plans to drive operational excellence.

 

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science is required.
  • 10-15 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years of management experience and a record of strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build and work collaboratively in a strong team-concept environment.
  • Strong, current technical acumen sufficient to evaluate technologies, systems, and methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize large, long-range, and multiple complex projects.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
