Position Description:
The Assistant Director of Nursing is to assist with the clinical leadership of the DON and is responsible for facility nursing management support including maintaining coverage, policy compliance, and quality of care. We are searching for a nurse with strong clinical skills for this position.
Monitoring staff regulatory compliance to ensure quality care for all residents
Monitoring nursing staff performance and addressing any QA issues
Clinical policy and procedure support
Assisting the DON in identifying & resolving nursing department deficiencies
Monitoring implementation of correction plans
Attending rounds when needed
Qualifications:
A self-motivated team player with strong and effective communication skills
Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other local, state, federal regulations.
Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience in both patient care and management/leadership roles required
Minimum four (4) years of supervisory experience required.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (in good standing) in the state(s) of practice with one year of experience under license

Basic Qualifications:
Experience
Minimum four (4) years of supervisory experience required.
Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience in both patient care and management/leadership roles required.
Education
Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
Current RN license required.
BLS certificate required.
