Project Managers are the bridge between commitments to our customers and completed sign packages. You will have to coordinate the efforts of in-house resources (Design, Permitting, Graphics production, Purchasing, CNC routing, Fabrication, and Installation), as well as subcontractors and vendors. Projects need to be completed on time and under budget, and our high standard of quality needs to be maintained throughout the customer experience. Projects range from sub $1000 quick turn jobs to $100k plus multi-phased projects, and everything in between.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position requires high organizational and communicative skills, the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, and poise under pressure. This is primarily an office-based position, but frequent interaction with the shop, field crews and off-site contacts is required. In-house mentoring will be conducted, but the applicant needs to have the right experience and attitude to take immediate ownership of their projects. Applicants with experience in construction and trades who are looking to transition into management will also be considered.
Note: This position reports to a senior project manager, who will train you on all aspects of the job. Sunshine sign needs someone to learn our system. Prior experience is a bonus, but the ability and willingness to learn how to perform the job “the sunshine way” is mandatory.
Outline of the training process:
Initial 2 to 6 week intensive training working side by side and shadowing a ‘seasoned’ Project Manager to learn the specific aspects and detailed complexities of the job via his/her methods.
Assist in simple tasks, not only to keep various workflow moving, but also to help quickly understand the multitasking efforts of the day to day including in-house software, coordination, troubleshooting, paperwork, pick-ups & deliveries just to name several.
Observe and learn key communication skills with all other Sunshine departments (Sales/Accounting, Design, Fabrication, Graphics and Install), Vendors, and End Users (customers/clients).
Expectations for end results after the initial training period is to have a sharpened understanding for broad range responsibilities of a PM role @ SSC.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will primarily involve office presence. However, the environment is flexible and dynamic. This position will be rated on results provided.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
