Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of our home health service office.
  • Manage schedules, appointments, and correspondence to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Supervise administrative staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to schedule appointments and coordinate care services for clients.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks such as billing, payroll, and record-keeping.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and their families, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing home health services, including HIPAA requirements.
  • Assist with budget planning and financial reporting to support the overall financial health of the organization.

Explanations:

  • The starting wage of $18 per hour reflects the entry-level nature of this position, where the primary responsibilities involve providing foundational administrative support and assisting in the daily operations of the hospice office.
  • Candidates with prior experience in hospice care or administrative healthcare settings will be considered for the higher wage of up to $21 per hour. This rate is offered to individuals who bring valuable industry knowledge and experience to the role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management, or related field is helpful but not required.
  • Certification as a Nurse's Aide is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in office management or administrative leadership role, preferably in the healthcare or home health industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes, including experience with insurance claims and Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
