Description
The Employee Relations Program Specialist is a highly collaborative human resources role and is responsible for the administration of SLFCU’s employee relations program by creating and delivering people practices that develop and maintain positive working relationships. The person in this position will work closely with line managers and employees to address and resolve complex or difficult employee relations issues through investigations, environmental assessments, corrective actions, and leadership coaching.
Job Duties:
- Assists management with performance concerns, disciplinary action and conflict management issues under the general direction and guidance of HR leadership.
- Performs assessments or investigations and provides analysis, recommendations and supports the implementation of agreed upon resolutions.
- Produces and manages reporting metrics and analytics for employee relations concerns and presents reports as requested.
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, labor relations and human resources.
- Provides coaching, training and education to leaders on employee relations process and policy.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Six years of experience in Human Resources with experience in handling employee relations cases
- Experience in working collaboratively and effectively to solve problems
- Demonstrated multi-disciplinary knowledge of human resource principles and best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired Experience & Education:
- Relevant bachelor’s degree
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential preferred
- Knowledge of Paylocity or other HRIS systems
Salary : $92,669 - $115,836
