What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Center Proctor - Part time - SUNY Orange position at SUNY Orange?
The Test Center Proctor will have the responsibility of administering scheduled tests at testing center locations at both campuses under the direction of the Testing Center Manager. The Proctor maintains a varied work schedule, including evenings, the possibility of one Saturday a month as required, and as needed to provide office coverage. Schedule may vary throughout the year depending on the volume of test takers and office needs.
Job Requirements:
Education Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience Required: Two years administrative work in an office environment; demonstrated proficiency using standard office software applications and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
- Associate's degree
- Two years administrative work in a testing environment or in a related field
- Basic skills in operating computers and hardware including assistive technology
- Community college or higher education experience
- Ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationship with supervising personnel, coworkers, all constituents and the public
- Perform well under pressure, within time constraints, with a high degree of accuracy, diplomacy and confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Must be able to travel between the college's two campuses and other sites
- Bilingual skills
