Position Overview: The Night Desk Clerk is responsible for providing exceptional customer service during the overnight shift while ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel. The ideal candidate will be professional, approachable, and able to work independently while handling a variety of tasks, including guest check-ins/outs, managing reservations, and assisting with any guest inquiries or concerns. This position is vital in maintaining the hotel’s reputation and delivering a comfortable and secure experience for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Assist guests with check-out procedures, including processing payments and providing receipts.
- Handle phone calls, email inquiries, and reservations during the night shift.
- Address any guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain hotel security by ensuring proper key control and monitoring surveillance systems.
- Perform light housekeeping duties as needed, such as restocking supplies or tidying the lobby area.
- Assist with any maintenance issues and report them to the appropriate personnel.
- Accurately process transactions and maintain guest records in the hotel management system.
- Provide information about local attractions, transportation, and hotel amenities as needed.
- Ensure that the hotel is fully secure during the overnight hours, including monitoring access points.
- Perform nightly audits of hotel operations, including reviewing reservations and preparing reports.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions according to hotel policies.
- Ensure the lobby is clean, well-stocked, and organized for the next morning’s shift.
Qualifications:
