In this role, you will take the lead in designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training programs that ensure employee success, regulatory compliance, and company growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement tailored training programs to elevate employee skills and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Lead a team of trainers, creating and managing training materials, certifications, and competency assessments.
Conduct engaging in-person and virtual training sessions that make a real impact.
Monitor and assess training effectiveness, providing coaching and development to trainers.
Ensure that all employees meet required training standards and regulatory compliance.
Manage and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS) to track training records and progress.
Collaborate with HR and department heads to identify high-potential employees for advanced training and career development.
Continuously improve training content based on feedback and performance data.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: 5 years in a Training Manager or similar role with a background in heat treating, industrial safety, or workforce management.
Skills: Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, training methodologies, and LMS management (preferably Dayforce). Experience with Microsoft Suite including Power BI is a plus!
Leadership: Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills to inspire and guide a team.
Compliance: In-depth understanding of safety training requirements in industrial settings.
Certifications: Post-secondary education in Training & Development is an asset, along with certifications like CPLP, CPTD, or CPTM.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 30% of the time for training sessions and site visits.
