About the Role:
A Fire Protection Service Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of a fire protection company's service department, ensuring the timely and efficient maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and other fire safety equipment, while maintaining strong customer relationships and compliance with industry regulations, by leading a team of technicians and managing service schedules, budgets, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management:
- Hire, train, and supervise a team of fire protection technicians, assigning work orders and ensuring proper skill allocation.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching to maintain high service standards.
- Foster a culture of safety within the service team, enforcing company safety protocols.
- Customer Service:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns and proactively communicating service updates.
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints promptly and effectively.
- Ensure customer contracts are adhered to and service expectations are met.
- Service Operations:
- Develop and implement efficient service schedules for routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Monitor service call volume, response times, and technician performance metrics.
- Manage service dispatch system, assigning technicians based on expertise and location.
- Technical Expertise:
- Possess in-depth knowledge of fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems.
- Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Provide technical support to technicians on complex issues and troubleshooting.
- Financial Management:
- Oversee service revenue and costs, ensuring profitability of service operations.
- Monitor budgets for service contracts, parts inventory, and labor expenses.

- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure all service activities are documented accurately and comply with local fire codes and industry standards.
