We are looking for a Regional Human Resources Coordinator to join our Hampton Roads, VA team. As Regional Human Resources Coordinator, your role will involve managing records, workers compensation, workforce advocacy, workforce policy, rewards programs, employee benefits, recruitment, retention and onboarding, and assisting in payroll. You will be expected to provide guidance, support, mentorship, advocacy, and act as a positive role model for prospective and current team members.
Virtual training and interviews via Zoom and in-person will be provided.
Compensation:
- The Regional Human Resources Coordinator position has an hourly pay range of $20-22, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the recruiting process (attending job fairs, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new staff)
- Provide support in resolving employee issues and concerns
- Assist in maintaining a positive workplace culture
- Manage HR documentation and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Maintain and update employee files and databases
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Track benefits eligibility and ensure paperwork completion
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Proof of highest level of education
- Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks
- Clear tuberculosis screening
- Proficient in Office 360 (Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Access, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of DMAS (Department of Medical Assistance Services), DBHDS, (Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services), and Licensure regulations
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Experience in SSVA’s programs
- Experience working in Human Resources
