Production Lead

3^rd shift 10pm to 6am Monday through Friday and every other weekend

Starting at $21 hourly

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Lead Person to join our team at our metal recycling facility. This individual will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processing, sorting, and recycling of metal materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forklift operations, supervisory experience, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the metal recycling team, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
2. Operate forklifts and other equipment to move and manage materials within the facility.
3. Oversee sorting and processing of metal materials to ensure that all operations meet quality standards.
4. Train and mentor new and existing staff, ensuring that team members are properly trained on equipment usage, safety procedures, and company policies.
5. Ensure that all recycling operations comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
6. Monitor inventory and equipment conditions, reporting any issues or maintenance needs to management.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools, equipment, and materials are stored and handled properly.
8. Assist in the preparation of reports related to operations, efficiency, and safety.
9. Handle scheduling and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet production goals.
10. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving operational issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience, with a solid understanding of equipment operation and safety procedures.
2. At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a similar industrial or recycling environment.
3. Strong knowledge of safety standards, metal recycling processes, and industry regulations.
4. Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team, ensuring high productivity and adherence to quality standards.
5. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with all team members.
6. Physical ability to lift, move, and manage materials as needed.
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in metal recycling or similar industrial fields.
2. Forklift certification.

Knowledge of environmental regulations related to recycling operations
