Surrounds Landscape has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Landscape Manager. As Landscape Manager, this role will play a pivotal role in the company’s success by overseeing and managing all aspects of the Garden Department. This role will be responsible for the planning, budgeting, production, equipment, staffing, and customer and client service relations within the department.
Our office is conveniently located in Sterling, VA. This is a full-time position, that will require some flexibility with the schedule. This will offer a starting salary range of $85,000 along with a benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k (up to 4%), PTO, and a company vehicle.
Responsibilities for Landscape Manager, including but not limited to:
- Lead and motivate the Garden team to achieve client goals;
- Ensure the efficient and smooth operation of all garden-related activities, from design and planting to maintenance and customer service;
- Develop and manage department budgets, set goals, and plan for future projects;
- Foster positive relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure top-notch service and partnerships;
- Maintain high-quality standards in garden design and maintenance;
- Recruit and train new employees, as well as conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback;
- Staying updated on industry trends, techniques, and equipment to enhance department productivity and efficiency.
Requirements for Landscape Manager:
- 2 years experience as a landscaping manager with experience in residential landscape maintenance;
- Knowledge of landscaping equipment and techniques, horticulture, turf care, plant health care, and garden design;
- Budgeting and financial management experience;
- Strong leadership and communication skills;
- Excellent organization and project management abilities;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel) and Google Suites;
- High School Diploma.
