What are the responsibilities and job description for the Center Program Coordinator position at Survivor Empowerment Center?
Responsible for overseeing the Domestic Violence (DV) Program, the Sexual Assault Services (SAS) Program, and other staff. The Center Program Coordinator is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of all services within the DV and SAS Programs. The Center Program Coordinator sets and reviews goals, develops new programs in collaboration with staff and the Executive Director, manages grants and program budget, and ensures accurate and timely data reporting. The Center Program Coordinator is a member of Survivor Empowerment Center leadership team and helps the team move forward in long-range strategic planning and budgetary planning, as well as developing a clear mission and vision for the center and carrying those out in day-to-day activities.
- Administers the Domestic Violence Program (DV) and the Sexual Assault Services (SAS) Program using a team management approach and supervises the program management within each program.
- Assists the Executive Director and others in the management team with formulating strategic and long-range plans for The Survivor Empowerment Center and aids in developing annual objectives that meet funding sources' requirements and reflect its philosophy and goals.
- Represents The Survivor Empowerment Center’s DV and SAS Programs with governing bodies and other entities (e.g. social media, news outlets, coalitions, board meetings), provides community education and volunteer training about domestic violence and sexual assault, seeks out opportunities to educate criminal justice and medical system personnel, as well as others and networks with other agencies that interact with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
- Oversees the Domestic Violence Program and Sexual Assault Services Program to ensure policy and procedural compliance and provides the Executive Director with budgetary needs.
- Performs personnel-related activities, including conducting performance evaluations, completing all personnel-related paperwork, reviewing job descriptions, reporting employee absences, administering disciplinary action, interviewing potential employees, recommending salary changes, training employees, and communicating with the Executive Director regarding departmental/personnel-related issues.
- Ensures the Domestic Violence Program and Sexual Assault Services compliance with all grant requirements, applicable federal, state, and local laws, and all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Survivor Empowerment Center.
- Ensures program quality and effectiveness through the development of and timely review of outcome measures.
- In collaboration with other staff, writes grants and handles reporting requirements for grants (e.g. narratives, quarterly reports, annual reports, outcome reports).
- Assists the Executive Director and others involved in the budgeting process in formulating the budget for the Domestic Violence Program and Sexual Assault Services and administers the budget once completed under the Executive Director's oversight.
- Evaluate current Domestic Violence Program and Sexual Assault Services policies and recommend policy modifications as needed to the Executive Director and Program Committees. Recommends appropriate program service changes to the Executive Director as required.
- Attends all Domestic Violence Program and Sexual Assault Services Committee meetings and monthly Board meetings and prepares written reports to the Executive Director for submission to the Board of Directors.
- Attends regularly scheduled meetings with the Executive Director and leadership meetings.
- Ensures clinical and program compliance on the center’s platform
- Performs typing and filing associated with outlined duties.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Master’s degree in a related field and relevant experience OR equivalent experience (minimum of 5 years supervising team)
- Knowledge of sexual assault/domestic violence issues and previous training on those issues preferred
- Knowledge of the budgeting process and HR Law
- Knowledge of The Survivor Empowerment Center’s policies and procedures preferred
- Strong people and organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and give
- attention to detail
- Skills in public speaking
- Supervisory skills, minimum 3 years of previous supervisory experience
- Ability to communicate orally in conversation both in person and by telephone
- Ability to work well with people from a variety of racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, sexual orientation, and age groups, and with individuals who are differently-abled
- Ability to deal with stress-related situations
- Ability to interact with others and remain focused while dealing with multiple objectives and timelines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work as a part of the management team and embrace the concept of teamwork
- Must have a demonstrated commitment to non-violence through previous volunteer work or employment preferred
- Willingness to complete the required 64-hours of training for the position within 6-months of employment
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including some weekends and evenings (if needed)
- Must have a current driver’s license, a car with current automobile insurance, and a willingness to travel

Pay: $60,000.00 - $71,035.00 per year
