What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collections REO Analyst position at Susser Bank?
Position Summary
Responsible for contacting past due borrowers, informing management on status of problem borrowers, and engaging attorneys for bankruptcy / demand / foreclosure process.
Job Classification: Non-Exempt
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Collection of delinquent mortgage accounts.
- Contact tracking from lenders with past due or problem loans.
- Handling problem calls to and from customers.
- Notifying customers with delinquent property taxes.
- Assist in preparation of monthly past due and problem loan reports.
- Coordinate loss mitigation and deferral requests from borrowers.
- Coordinate risk rating changes, moving loans to non-accrual.
- Monitor ORE from foreclosure to re-sale.
- Prepare other reports as assigned.
- May be required to travel to take pictures of properties for in house evaluations.
- Understands and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established by Susser Bank.
- Performs duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintains the security and confidentiality of pertinent information and records.
- Maintains current and up-to-date knowledge and continues professional development through training as applicable.
- Demonstrates a courteous, pleasant, self-motivated, and dependable behavior. Maintaining a professional environment in both appearance and conduct.
- Performs additional duties as assigned or directed.
Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Six months of customer service preferably in a financial institution required.
Skills and Abilities Required
- Must have a strong attention to details, be organized and accurate.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; maintain appropriate contact with customers.
