Job Title: Accounting Specialist
Location: North Platte, Nebraska

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as an Accounting Specialist. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting Sustainable Beef's financial operations by managing payment processing, accounts receivable and assisting with month-end accounting procedures. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining efficient, accurate processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process high volume full cycle accounts payable using Business Central ERP.
• Data entry of invoices and posting items to the ERP.
· Review invoices and match invoices to PO's, delivery slips, and/or other documents.
· Ensure invoices have required approval, payment limits and backup prior to payment.
· Process weekly payments, both check and ACH.
· Communicate with Vendors to quickly resolve discrepancies.
· Deposit payments and accurately apply against Customer invoices.
· Perform monthly account reconciliations.
· Strict adherence to deadlines.
• Perform other Accounting and Administrative tasks as necessary to maintain department efficiency.
• Weekend work may be required on a scheduled basis.
• Participate in training programs to improve skills.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
• 5 years of accounting experience is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in computer applications, especially Excel, Word and ERP systems (Business Central experience is a plus).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Ability to work well within a team and across multiple departments.
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and follow-up skills to ensure task completion.
• Strong desire to set goals, meet deadlines, and efficiently manage tasks with attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
